What do you do if your wine has a prestigious French pedigree, but a humble California hometown? Named after the Bordeaux clone number of its vine, 337 is a Lodi-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. After a year of being on the market, DFV Wines approached us to further define and develop the brand.
We began by redesigning the label with a focus on refining the typography and spacing. We redesigned the case shippers by wrapping an over sized “337” logo around the edges. This allowed retailers to create an impactful marquis effect when the shippers were stacked side to end. The tagline we created “Born in France … Raised in America” further positioned the wine as authentic yet modern.
Our work with 337 began when its sales volume was a mere few thousand cases. Today, the Noble Vines family sells in excess of 300,000 cases annually.
